Now more than ever we are seeing too many Hip Hop artists dying at the hands of others, and sometimes even at the hands of other artists. Non Phixion/La Coka Nostra cult leader, ILL BILL, steps up to the plate to deliver “Time To Go” which surmises the plight of the modern rapper. Over a haunting Lord Goat rhythm, Bill starts “The Grim Reaper’s amongst us, he be scheming to dust us” which sets off a verse that puts the old motto “live by the gun, die by the gun” into perspective. Taken from the forthcoming ILL BILL album “BILLY” on Uncle Howie/Fat Beats.

After sleeping on this album for more than a decade I am happy I gave it a go after renewed interest following recent Non Phixion reunion concerts. Consistent bangers. Beats can be unorthodox at times but so is Gore so it is a great fit. Wjvs
